Hello! I am Karla Pineda. I am 22 years old and I am majoring in English teaching at
Universidad Don Bosco, El Salvador. I
consider to myself a helpful person, honest and respectful. This is my second
practicum and I feel confident to begin with this experience. I am gratefull with GOd, family, teacher and friends because they support me a lot. I cannot say
that it was really easy to me because I started learning English
from zero at the university. It is so difficult but I have learned a lot
thanks to all teachers and all my effort.
Why did I decide to study “English Teaching"?
I decided to study it because I think that a teacher can be the difference in a
person but we decide if we are a good or bad teachers. For example, if the
students remember you just because you are funny or for all things that they
learn from you. For this reason, I would like to share my knowledge with others
and I would like to see my future students, and feel proud of them I know I
will do a good job because I will practice all the information that have gotten
at the university.
I want to share my experience in teaching children.
The firsts time that I had to teach was microteaching from the subject “Teaching to Children” with teacher Yani. I developed a stage but I learned a lot because some of the children were fast learners and I learned of them and them of me.

MicroTeaching's Team.
My experience in "Practicum I" was amazing. At the
beginning of the course I felt nervous, but I had a lot of expectation to teach
children. Teaching
to children is a challenge because it needs a lot of imagination to be creative.
At the end, I feel satisfied because they learned a lot. Teacher Orlando always
helped us to improve our mistake in how to teach children. They motivate me to
continue sharing my knowledge with others.
I was presenting the toy's vocabulary to children by using realia. |
Finally, I would like to say something about practicum II. It will be an amazing
experience that I will have teaching teenagers, because now before this subject
I did not have the opportunity to teach them. That will be a big challenge for
me but I will feel satisfied with my job. I hope everything will be ok and I
am really happy to be closer to the goal.
If you have any question or comment you can post in my
blog.

Hello Karla, after reading your blog I have to say that I share the same feeling that you have when you talk about the material. we need to take into account that the material need to be attractive and related with the interest of teenagers. Also, I really love the image that you posted at the end of the blog, and I think is true because we as future teacger will give a hand to our students in oirder to make the learning process something meaningfuk, we will open their mind to the language and we will touch their hearts with our passion for teaching them a new language.
ReplyDeleteHello Karla, after reading your post, I can say that I learn about what Piaget describes the individual develop in four stage: Sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete operational and formal operational. your blog is very interesting
ReplyDeleteHello Karla, I agree when you said that we have to create activities realate with their age that may help us as a teacher to interact with the more and the learning for them will be easily.
